Despite being at the bottom of the pecking order, Ayasha acts as though she's the queen of the world. Well, she's not entirely a brat - she learned SOME semblance of respect towards her superiors, but for everyone else she acts high and mighty towards. It's more of a thing that gradually becomes revealed as she opens up to you.
Don't take offense to it, though, it's a defense mechanism. Her parents favored her brother over her, and acted as though Ayasha didn't exist. When they did acknowledge her, it was always coarse and hostile, every little thing she did was a nuisance or shameful. She became a shut in in her own body for a time, refusing to even speak. Finally, when the day came, she left her family behind, and now uses her righteous attitude to cope with her self loathing and dysphoria.
